Some pictures of Katin and the kids

This was at our ward's Easter breakfast and Primary quarterly activity, as was the last picture here. This is a cute little photo of Katin in his mom's arms. (I've been told by a certain aunt in Utah that I don't post enough pictures of Katin, she doesn't know what he looks like. Hopefully this helps her out!! He's just tooo cute!!!)

I was playing around with my new lens and the baby, in the waning sunlight of their front room (away from everyone else) when we were invaded by Malia and Isaac. Here are a couple of cute pictures.

The three youngest!!

See, my eyes really are blue!!!

This was the Easter breakfast and some of the games they played. Let's just say that this twosome didn't last very long. Two 4 year olds trying to do the wheelbarrow race!!! But they get a gold star for trying. Oh, that's Isaac and little girl, Evie, in my ward. Cute!!

The last month or so...

I don't remember the occasion, but Ericka had us watch Isaac and Malia one Monday night. (Oh, it was the night before Gene's 40th birthday, so it was April 6th.) They came over in their jammies, already bathed etc. We took Grandpa to school and he wanted to take the kids up to his classroom to show them off, so this was in Dad's office where they were coloring pictures to post on his wall. We had all of these errands to run while they were in their jammies. I thought for sure that Ericka would kill me. (We went to Party City to get the balloons and Over the Hill paraphernalia for Gene's 40 th Birthday dinner/party the next day.)

This was the next day at Marie Callendars Grill for Gene's birthday. Gram and I are the only ones out of the photo. Yumm, Creative Cakery chocolate cake with cream cheese frosting!!!

A photo of me that night with my little sweetheart. Katin is a doll!!!

Malia with Katin. He still has his beautiful blue eyes and blond hair. She's the little mama like I was to Jeff.

See the nice balloons? :o) Ha Ha! Gene and Malia trying to lick the "40 sucks" sucker at their house after dinner. It was a fun birthday. At least I hope it was.

When Jeff was here we all went to Disneyland, and so here is our official photo that they took there at the park. Pretty cute!!!

This is Gene's family with the Easter Bunny at the Cerritos Mall, 2 days before Easter. Geno, Isaac, Katin and Malia. Isaac was eating something green so his teeth look a little odd.

Our little Katin, or is he a bunny rabbit? Too cute!!!

After the pinata has been busted by Geno. The last blow is below!!!

Dad, Katin and Paige. Jeff and Erin were here for a few days a week ago, and we had a blast. The cousins really have a fun time together.

Here I am looking over Roche Harbor, one of the islands off of Seattle, Washington, and Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. A friend of mine from Brazil, Rayanna Abreu, (she was about 9 at the time) was doing an intercambio where she worked up here (housekeeping) and learned English. (I'm not sure how much English she learned because they put her in a house with 2 other Brazilians! And their boss was Colombian!) We spoke in Portuguese those 3 days! Yeah!!)

Here we are looking back at the hotels and cafe etc. It's a really small resort/town on the north side of the island with Friday Harbor. It was in such a picturesque spot!! It was truly beautiful and peaceful. The island population swells to about 4 times the amount in the summer, so that would definitely be something to see!! That is to say that there were not a whole lot of people there when I was there. Getting there from Seattle I took a puddle jumper plane to the island, which was definitely an experience, but it was wonderful to get that aerial view of the islands etc.. On the way back to Seattle, I took the ferry from Friday Harbor to Anacortes, WA, and then a shuttle (bus) down to the airport. It's beautiful country up there!!

Little Katin Alexander Blackmun, was blessed the first Sunday in March by his Dad and various family members. (The poor little thing cried the whole way through it!) Yes, HE is wearing a dress that my Mom wanted purchased for her grandchildren to be blessed in. (I showed the picture to some friends at work and they said SHE's cute!! How soon they forget!) He's still our little blondie and so far his eyes have remained blue. He's soooooo cute!!!

Here's a picture of the family members that were there for the blessing. Aunt Sharon is taking the picture for us. There's me, Isaac, Bill and Espie Stone (Ericka's parents), Geno, Gene, Katin, Ericka, Aunt Jan, Uncle Gary, Dad, Malia, Laura Stone (Ericka's sister) and Anthony (Laura's boyfriend.)

I had more photos I wanted to add but a week ago this site wouldn't take them, so I downsized my photo postings. I'll post more later. Jeff and Erin are here now and we went to Disneyland yesterday, and then had Isaac's 4th birthday party this morning.

Some more pictures from the past couple of months

This was at a last minute "Mitt Romney for President" rally at the Long Beach airport, the night before Super tuesday. My favorite poster was "FHE w/ Romney". I am sure if the media, that was there, saw it, they wouldn't know what to think of it. Ha Ha!

This is a picture of my friend Clay, his daughter Jessica and I, at the rally. He worked on the campaign and told me about the rally that morning. Clay and I go back 18 years (ouch!!) when he, his sister Nicole, brother Darren and I (Gene was there too at the time) were really good friends at the Cerritos College Institute of Religion. I didn't know if Clay would be there that night and I was turning to leave when I saw him across the "hanger". I made a bee-line for him and when I got his attention it took a second for him to recognize me. :o) It must've been the highlighted and straight hair!! Sorry, Clay. It was good to see him and meet his daughter, who I'd only seen as a toddler. She's now about 14 or 15. She's beautiful too, with those gorgeous, light green eyes! (In case you didn't know, I am an eye person!)

This was Geno's Cub Scout's pinewood derby this last month. He won a few of the heats. Given a couple of more match-ups, his Dad says that he would've won the night. (His is the yellow one.)

This was one of the times that he won 1st place!

Dad and I took a quick trip to Utah for 2 days over Christmas break. It was a blast! Here's Jeff's family in their family room. We, along with Erin's parents, had a hoot New Year's Eve playing games and setting off fireworks at midnight with it being 9 degrees outside!! Fun, fun! I'll post more pictures later.
